Yesterday my mom and sister threw Annalee and I a baby shower. It was wonderful. I must say Russ, Annalee and I are so very lucky. We had wonderful family and friends that attended. Annalee got so many wonderful things that makes it so real that we are one step closer. We received, pack-n-play, highchair, the bedding, cute outfits, diapers, diaper caddy, cute receiving blankets, baby tolietries, and so very much more!! It was all so wonderful! I was overwhelmed with joy. So many people traveled a great distance and it just meant so much! I can't wait until Annalee gets to meet all of these special people! We had good food and played games and laughed a lot! Thanks everyone for making the day so wonderful!
Last night after the shower I had a breakdown. I think it is due to the lack of sleep and the hormones! I just started crying and telling Russ that I am so scared of labor and having Annalee. I can't wait to meet her but I worry that I won't know her needs. Russ of course was there to let me know that everything will be ok and that my maternal instinct will come. I just hope he is right!

Oh, I forgot to mention the food! It was great. Sorry about the breakdown. I'm sure you'll be fine when she gets here, though--and if you don't know what she needs, you've got all sorts of people to ask. Plus, you could just Google baby questions--the internet is great--if you ever get it at your house. ;-)
I would guess that it's only natural to be scared and nervous. I think that's a sure sign that you will be such a GREAT mom! I'm sure as time goes you will feel more and more comfortable.

The shower was great! Thanks again! Aww, no more breakdowns! You know every first time Mom feels the same way. You are going to be a great Mom!! And luckily you have a few other "first-timers" to go through it with you! =) And with all the friends and family, you will have LOADS of help!
Oh, and I loved that lemon spread stuff on the ginger snaps. Mmmm.
First, the shower was so much fun!! It was great seeing you and all the girls, loved it! Your mom cracks me up too =)
Second, about this breaking down business...I'm glad to hear you're having some doubts about this parenting thing as well. I've found recently that I lay awake questioning myself more and more...and it's starting to scare me. We'll get through it though...and everyone is right, if we have questions (or a million of them) then there are LOTS of people to ask! Love you, and I think you are going to be a wonderful mom!!
